Falcons by: Abrahim

Looking up in the sky
I saw a magnificent sight
A falcon soaring above me
as it dived for a fish below
its talons stretched out far
it caught the fish off guard

Spring By Colwyn

Spring is bright as the sun in the day.
The flowers are so pretty in the sunshine.
I love spring and all the Butterflies.

A tulip the prettiest of them all
A small circle that’s swirly at the top
Almost like an apricot
They are short
And sometimes

FIREFLIES

I look outside half past nine, I look up
look up at the sky fireflies
A million of them fill up my yard
I run outside barefoot to see these
Shimmering creatures bring life to the
Night as I think about my crazy life

LIONS

Lions, the kings of the jungle
No one can get in their territory
They are as tough as the Wall of Jericho
Come here snake said the lion I need a meal for my cats
Lions, the kings of the jungle

Picasso (my dog)

Picasso is the best dog in the world
He doesn't like getting his hair curled
He's really funny
He likes to chase bunnies
And everyday when he comes out to play
Everybody says "yeah, Picasso, yeah!

A story by Christopher in Mrs. Kane's class

This story was created on StoryBird

Student Poetry by Tyreea in Colwyn's 6th grade

I see butterflies on a rose, a sun flower
I see them flying away
Come back I say! I see millions of them,
I run to them and they fly
Away.
The butterflies came back to me
And landed on my nose.
